Application Requirements
The STL Bio-Compute Collective maintains a high-signal registry. To be listed, you must meet the following criteria:
Mandatory (Binary Pass/Fail)
- STEM OPT Eligible or US work-authorized
- Relevant Degree: MS Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or CS with Bio focus
- GitHub Link: Active repository demonstrating your work
Code Audit Criteria
We will review your GitHub for:
- README Documentation — Can someone else run your code?
- Containerization — Dockerfile or environment.yml present?
- Workflow Managers — Nextflow, Snakemake, or equivalent?
- No Hardcoding — No absolute paths like

What Happens After You Apply?
- Submission Review — We review your GitHub within 48 hours
- Feedback Loop — If improvements needed, we’ll provide specific guidance
- Anonymous Listing — Accepted candidates are listed as “Candidate #XXX”
- Employer Matching — When an employer requests you, we make the introduction
